My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and were seated right away. The Shakshuka was rich and tomatoey. The sauce was generous, but not so much the bread. My boyfriend got the burger and fries. It was "juicy and filling". Ambience was a little hectic. Would probably return, but for lunch or dinner instead of brunch.
Our waitress was nice and the food was good! The restaurant was very loud though, not a place for a conversation, but fun if you have a big group. I loved the rolls. I got the rainbow trout and I LOVED the lemon creme that came with it--not a big fan of the lentils though. They were good, but too tomato-y for me. This was my first time trying bone marrow and I thought it was delicious, but my friends said they have had better. They also said they've been here before and the bone marrow was really good, but this time it wasn't up to par. I thought it was great--if you're a bone marrow snob maybe not.
When visiting Salt Lake City wanted to try out this place downtown. Definitely didn't disappoint. We had the Ricotta Dumplings as an appetizer which were very good. For lunch decided on the Waygu Beef Stroganoff, homemade noodles and a light sauce, was very tasty and a pretty good portion for lunch. Our waitress was extremely friendly and the aesthetic of the restaurant itself was great. Looked like they have a good lunch crowd, we were just visiting on vacation. Would love to come Back and try more.
A memorable birthday celebration ! Wow- it was packed and noisy inside but as the evening wore on- less noisy! Took a while to order- and an even longer wait for our food but wow- so worth the wait Stroganoff was perfection! Cabanora delish 3 side dishes could have easily been ordered as an Amazing veggie platter. James our server was on point in every regard. The kitchen staff were new and a little slow but they created excellent dishes all around.
The copper onion was amazing. I came here for a birthday dinner and every single dish we ordered we loved the fried artichoke was a huge hit the aïoli sauce. It comes with that they make in house is wonderful. I got the Wagyu beef stroganoff. The portion was big enough. I had leftovers and it was still just as delicious the very next day I would come back and order it again. My friends split the Cacio E Pepe they really enjoyed it. I do have to say they ricotta dumplings are a little strange but vegetarian friendly so they're not terrible. I just don't know that I would order them again. And the fries the Parmesan fries are just typical. You can maybe skip those get the spicy potatoes instead. We were so full from the food. We did not end up ordering dessert, but it did look amazing everyone else who is ordering it! lol The restaurant is pretty loud so between the volume from the other tables and the loud music you do have to speak in a pretty loud voice to hear people across from you at the table. I would definitely recommend I would come here again. I would order the same dishes. I would try new dishes. It's in a great location. I love this restaurant. I would give it a 9 out of 10.
I had a delicious meal at The Copper Onion, enjoying their bolognese. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. The ambiance was cozy and modern, creating a great atmosphere for dining. The service was excellent; the staff was attentive and made sure everything was just right.
Beef stroganoff (I only ate the portobellos and freshly made egg noodles), fresh oysters, creative menu like watermelon Gazpacho are a must. Great service. Food gem in SLC. When it's packed it gets really loud. I came back a second time this week for the Watermelon Gazpacho. Great way to start summer 2024!
Stopped by on a recommendation by a friend and thus far its been the best food we've had on our vacation so far. Great server, helpful but not overbearing. We ate at the chef's bar and it was super fun to watch the back staff. I got the West Indie drink (sweeter than I prefer and if we go again, I'd probably get the Parlor Fizz). But the goat cheese salad, the wagyu beef stroganoff, and the cheesecake drizzled with honey...OMG. I could eat that for my last meal and be so happy.
This restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with an array of delicious dishes, making it an ideal spot for a small gathering with friends. I recommend opting for outdoor seating if you want to have a meaningful conversation, as the inside can get quite noisy. The trout, stroganoff, and meatloaf were all exceptionally tasty and highly recommended.
